Making of the Farewell Project

Farewell Video

The hardest part of completing this video was getting as many people to interview in the limited time we had. The easiest and most fun part of the process for me was editing

Farewell video

Group members: Nasim, Joyce, and Herman
For our senior farewell project, we wanted to get our classmates involved by asking them a couple of questions about the RCHS program and their two year journey. We asked our classmates about their favorite memories, favorite professors, and words of advice for next year's seniors. I will be editing the video.

My booth

  • My capstone presentation was surprisingly easy and fun. I enjoyed talking with others about movies and some had really good questions: An old guy asked me about the DVD distribution process and some juniors wanted to know how i feel about independent films & big franchises.  My judge was an art professor at Richland and i think i impressed her with my knowledge of film history & my project in general. Two juniors also said how happy they were that my project was about film. On my table i had my poster, inforgraphic, my laptop to show my end product video, 2 popcorn bowls with movie titles, my Film Art book as a reference, and about 10 movies for display. Putting the DVDs was a last minute idea but worked really well. Overall, i believe i gave a good presentation because i was knowledgeable and passionate about my project.

Completed Infographics

I wanted my overall capstone to have a consistent look and theme, so i knew that i would use the same background from my capstone poster for the infographic. The challenging part certainly was deciding what to include and what to not include. I experimented a couple of times using pictures and graphics but it made the inforgraphic clustered and unappealing; therefore, i settled for a clean, simple, yet stylish design with breif textual discriprion to succinctly encapsulates my capstone.

Infographics

My infographic will focus on the step by step process of critically viewing films that will guide audiences to enhance their understanding and film-watching experience.

My capstone poster, i believe, captures the essence of my topic perfectly. I am very satisfied with how it turned out and don't plan on changing it.

PSA

I believe i have met the requirements and made a bold statement with my PSA, especially with  the accompaniment of "Raging Bull". The challenging part about making the PSA was organizing my ideas about what i wanted to include in the video. But once i had that figured out, i was able to make it cohesive and effective.
